Flower Drawing

Hello -

For X-mas my grandmother gave us a set of 3 or 4 nice shading pencils. Since I was bored, and since I picked them up, I really wanted to draw something! I was trying to think of something to draw that had something to do with the Civil War, but I couldn't think of anything. (We're studying the Civil War in Social Studies right now, and we get points if we bring in Civil War related stuff.)

Anyways, I drew a flower! I hope you like it!

It's my birthday!

Hello -

Today is my birthday! I turned 14 years old today.

I refused to have a birthday party, but tonight my grandfather and my mother's boyfriend came over and we had cake and I opened presents. Over the weekend at my dad's house, my grandmother, my aunt, and her children came over for the same thin, just different presents and different cake. : )

I got 10 books, 2 movies, 1 season of a TV show, 1 cd, a pair of pajamas, a picture thingy, and some thank you cards. I also got a notebook/journal and some money.

I'm 14 now, but I don't actually feel that different. The number feels older than the previous number, but I don't feel that much older. 14 seems like a decent jump from 13, doesn't it?

New Puppy

Hello -

About a week ago, at my dad's house, we got a new puppy! After a vote took place, her name became Keelah.

She is roughly 13 to 14 weeks old, and we have no idea what kind of dog she is, although she somewhat looks like a German Shepherd.

She's cute, and the last time I saw her, she was still trying to adjust to her new surroundings.
