Hawaii and Snow Do Not Mix

Hello -
I just got back from Hawaii a couple of days ago. We stayed in Maui. It was great. It was beautiful, and warm, and just plain great!!!! I have pictures of my trip, so I'll post some eventually. While in Hawaii, my dad got married. That means that I now have a stepmother as well as 3 new sisters (stepsisters.) They are all VERY nice.
While in Hawaii, we also saw a lot of whales. It is whale season there, so we saw a lot of Humpback whales. It's so cool to see them doing their thing. My dad even got some good picture of them on his camera. Of their back tail/fin and other pictures like that. It was so cool to see. We also went snorkling (which was a lot less scary than I thought it would be) and we saw a lot of different fish and we saw some turtles from the boat on our way back to shore.
I had a lot of fun in Hawaii.
Now here's the weird thing, I'm not even back home for 10 days before it snows. I live in a place where it MIGHT snow once a year, but normally it doesn't stick. We have already missed (depending on where you live) anywhere from 2-8 (or more) days of school because of snow. And now it's snowing again!!! It's amazing and weird at the same time.
