HEY!!!

HEY!!!
I know I haven't posted anything for a while and I'm sorry about that, so here's the update.
So-In Science since the last time I've posted, I've disected sheep eyeballs. My partner thought that she was going to throw up (she didn't) and so she sat in the nurses office the entire time. Now, we are working on Energy/Hydrogen/Oxygen/Water powered cars. It's kind of fun.
In math, we are doing more stuff on fractions, decimals, and percents. At the moment, we are doing dividing fractions.
In Social Studies, we are devoting all of our time to working on our Contemporary Issues project. Contemporary Issues is a project that every 6th grader at my school has to do. You pick a topic, and research everything about it. (Things like, should stem cells be used? or should endangered animals be kept in zoos? or something like that.) My Contemporary Issues project is on gay marriage. My question is "Should Homosexuals be allowed to get married?" At the moment, we are still surveying people, we finished writing our review of literature essay, but we still have to write our persuasive essay. (We are working on that at school right now.)
In Band, we are trying to get all 5 of our songs that we are playing at our concerts perfect. Earlier today, the entire 6th grade band at my school went to one of the elementary schools to play for them. My sisters go there so it was kind of fun, and I didn't mess up that much! (I only messed up one time in one of my songs.) We still have 2 more concerts next week, so we still have to practice and get the songs perfect.
Since the last time I updated, it was Easter. For Easter, I went to my grandpa's brother's house. It was fun. There was a baby there named Tamika and she was the cutest thing!! I had a lot of fun sitting next to her.
Today at Boys and Girls Club we went to an animal sanctuary in my city. They had horses, pigs, a goat, donkeys, a cat, and dogs. We were petting the horses first, but then the other people that I was with, wanted to see the pigs. The pigs were black, and hairy, and they all looked identical. I didn't like them. Then we went to see the dogs. There was about 15 of them, and some of them had lived in Louisianna when Hurricane Katrina hit, so they were still kind of skittish. Then we went to see the donkeys and the goat. The goat was kind of weird looking because her wool was mostly off, but there was still a few places where they hadn't cut it off. The donkeys were ok I guess. There was 2 more horses there so I petted the horses while everyone else hung out with the donkeys or talked to the person that worked there about the animals pasts. A lot of the horses used to be race horses but then they sprained a tendon in their leg (or something like that) and so they were going to be put down. I had fun.
At the moment I am reading like crazy. In the last week, (or less) I have finished,
Pop Princess, The Geography Club, The Truth about Forever, and Someone like you. They were all really good. I'm reading That Summer, Powers that Be, and occasionally, I'm reading David Copperfield. That's it I think. I hope everyone is doing good!!
See ya!!
