Free Poverty - AGAIN!

I encourage everyone to go to this website at least once a day - the difference you can make is amazing.

Yesterday, I watched my sister and her friend attempt to find where the places were on freepoverty. Sadly, to put it bluntly, they knew almost nothing about geography. I ended up pointing where the desired destination was, and they would blindly click in that general vicinity. Even if they weren't that great - it still helped!

Go to freepoverty - it helps!
ALSO - another great website to try out is freerice.com It has the same general concept (providing food for those in need) but instead of a geography game, it is a game full of words and definitions. They give you a word and you choose the correct definition. If you want to try your luck, you can also try this game in different languages or with different topics in mind.

GO HELP!
I hope everyone had a great day, and a great 4th of July weekend. :)

Help Poverty

Hello -

So, here's the deal. Everytime I get a HIGHER score than I did before, I'm going to post it on my blog. That way, I'm always striving to improve. Go to freepoverty.com and donate cups of water. It's not too hard...just moderately hard! :)

Thanks!

The Amur Leopard

Hello -

A couple of days ago I got Disc 1 of Planet Earth from Netflix. It was really good - the scenery was amazingly beautiful and the animals were really cool.

One of the animals in the first episode was the Amur Leopard. They live in Russia and there are only (roughly) 35 of them left. If anyone knows of an organization that is trying to help these animals, I would love to help them out in any way possible.

These cats are adorable, and it's really sad that they are almost gone.

I hope this inspires you to go out and research how endangered some animals are getting.

Flower Drawing

Hello -

For X-mas my grandmother gave us a set of 3 or 4 nice shading pencils. Since I was bored, and since I picked them up, I really wanted to draw something! I was trying to think of something to draw that had something to do with the Civil War, but I couldn't think of anything. (We're studying the Civil War in Social Studies right now, and we get points if we bring in Civil War related stuff.)

Anyways, I drew a flower! I hope you like it!
